"Man, I just hope he's alive," Javon told Esquire. "Because I'm sure he didn't just get shot one time by taking cover in the bathtub and getting shot through the wall," adding, "You know that Fez needs Ash, and Ash needs Fez. They both really rely on each other, so it's going to be really hard for both of them."
Javon expressed a similar sentiment to E! News, teasing that it's not 100 percent certain that his character is dead. "It's kind of left up in the air for now," he exclusively told E! News. "If there's one person that can survive being shot, it's definitely Ashtray. He's one badass kid."
As for how long he knew about his dramatic season two ending? Javon shared with E! that creator Sam Levinson alerted him to the storyline edit "two days or a day before" filming. "He rewrote the script," he continued, "the whole thing of me in the bathtub, the crazy shootout, like, pretty much the day before. It's pretty crazy."
Javon went on to tell Esquire that he envisions Ashtray playing dead after being shot by the police during the raid. For season three, the Umbrella Academy actor said he could be on the run and ultimately reunite with his brother Fez.
