Fans Accuse Justin Bieber's Mom of Liking a Telling Tweet at the Peak of All This Hailey and Selena Drama - Yahoo Life

Fans Are Obsessing Over Pattie Mallette's TweetsKevin Mazur - Getty Images

Just when you thought all this Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez drama had reached its peak, it appears as though Justin Bieber's mom, Pattie Mallette, has entered the chat. On top of Pattie tweeting, "Hate is ugly. Don’t be ugly" on the same day Hailey and Selena drama hit its crescendo...

...fans on Twitter allege that she liked and then swiftly unliked a comment about Selena taking a break from social media:

Selena announced her break from social on February 23, saying in a live video, "I'm very happy, I'm so blessed, I have the best friends, the best fans in the whole world and I just couldn't be happier. I'm good. I love the way I am I don't care, I'm big, I'm not, I don't care. I love who I am. And yeah, I'm gonna be taking a second from social media, because this is a little silly. And I'm 30, I'm too old for this, so...but I love you guys so much! And I will see you guys sooner than later, I just... I'm just gonna just take a break from everything."

She's since reactivated her TikTok account, but the short break came after she defended Taylor Swift on a resurfaced video of Hailey Bieber seemingly gagging at Taylor's name. In response, Selena wrote, "So sorry my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game."

On top of that, Sel commented, "I love you" on a fan's TikTok calling out the "mean girls coming at [Selena's] fucking throat" and the "disgusting, despicable behavior from the nepo babies."

All of this ^^ comes after Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber were accused of bullying Selena over her accidentally-over-laminated eyebrows. Selena actually backed up Kylie Jenner's denial that she and Hailey weren't bullying Sel with, "Agreed @kyliejenner It's all unnecessary. I'm a fan of Kylie!"

Shakira says there's a 'place in hell' for women who don't support women after ex goes official with new gf - Fox News

After releasing another apparent "diss track" aimed at her ex Gerard Piqué, Shakira shaded his new girlfriend, saying in a recent interview that "there’s a special place in hell for women who don’t support women."

Pique, the father of her two sons, recently went public with 23-year-old Clara Chia Marti after the two allegedly cheated while the "She Wolf" singer was on tour.

The couple was together for 11 years and announced their split last June.

"I bought the story that a woman needs a man to be complete," Shakira, 46, told Mexican journalist Enrique Acevedo on his Televisa show "En Punto" in Spanish. "I had that dream of having a family: mother and a father living with their children living under the same roof. Not every dream in life comes true, but life finds a way to make it up to you."

In her new song "TQG," Shakira sings in Spanish, "You’re not welcome here anymore/ I saw what your girlfriend said to me/ It doesn’t even make me angry/ I laugh."

Tom Sizemore's family deciding end of life matters, rep says - CNN

CNN  —

The family of actor Tom Sizemore is currently “deciding end of life matters” following an update from doctors, according to a statement CNN received Monday evening from Sizemore’s manager Charles Lago.

“Today, doctors informed his family that there is no further hope and have recommended end of life decision. The family is now deciding end of life matters and a further statement will be issued on Wednesday,” the statement said.

“We are asking for privacy for his family during this difficult time and they wish to thank everyone for the hundreds of messages of support, and prayers that have been received. This has been a difficult time for them.”

Earlier this month, Sizemore, 61, was hospitalized in intensive care after suffering a brain aneurysm. “Since that day, Tom has remained in critical condition, in a coma and in intensive care,” the statement from Lago noted.

The Detroit-born Sizemore had an early, small role in the Oliver Stone 1989 film “Born on the Fourth of July,” and had his break in television playing Sgt. Vinnie Ventresca around the same time, in the ABC series “China Beach.”

He appeared in a number of hit crime and war movies in the 90s and 2000s, including “Heat,” “Natural Born Killers,” “Pearl Harbor” and “Black Hawk Down.”

He is perhaps best known for playing Sgt. Mike Horvath in the World War II movie “Saving Private Ryan.”

Other notable roles for Sizemore came in the titles “The Relic,” “True Romance” and “Bringing Out the Dead,” the latter costarring Nicolas Cage and directed by Martin Scorsese.

The actor nabbed a Golden Globe nomination in 2000 for best performance by an actor in a miniseries or motion picture made for television for his role in “Witness Protection.”

More recently, he appeared in episodes of the hit series “Twin Peaks” and “Cobra Kai.”

Sizemore has long struggled with drug addiction, and had a string of legal issues over the course of his career.

He was convicted in 2003 on domestic violence charges related to his relationship with Heidi Fleiss. He told CNN’s Larry King in a 2010 interview he had been addicted to cocaine, heroin and meth, and he participated in the 2010 season of the reality show “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.”

CNN’s Hannah Sarisohn, Kevin Flower and Eric Levenson contributed to this report.

Tom Sizemore’s Family ‘Deciding End of Life Matters’ After Brain Aneurysm, Doctors Say ‘There’s No Further Hope’ - Variety

Tom Sizemore’s family is “deciding end of life matters” for the 61-year-old actor after he suffered a brain aneurysm on Feb. 18, Sizemore’s manager Charles Lago confirmed to Variety.

According to a statement from Lago, on Monday “doctors informed his family that there is no further hope and have recommended end of life decision. The family is now deciding end of life matters and a further statement will be issued on Wednesday.”

The statement continues, “We are asking for privacy for his family during this difficult time and they wish to thank everyone for the hundreds of messages of support, and prayers that have been received. This has been a difficult time for them.”

On Feb. 18, Sizemore collapsed in his Los Angeles home and was transported to the hospital by paramedics. There, doctors determined that he had suffered a brain aneurysm as the result of a stroke. Sizemore has remained in critical condition since, and is in a coma under intensive care.

Known for playing the tough guy, Sizemore rose to fame in the 1990s with films like “Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man,” “Passenger 57,” “True Romance” and “Natural Born Killers.” He got his big break in Steven Spielberg’s 1998 war film “Saving Private Ryan,” in which he played Technical Sergeant Mike Horvath. “Saving Private Ryan” went on to score a best picture nomination at the Academy Awards. Over the course of his career, Sizemore has worked with directors including Michael Mann, Martin Scorsese, Peter Hyams, Carl Franklin, Oliver Stone, Ridley Scott and Michael Bay.

Sizemore is also a convicted abuser. In 2003, he was convicted of domestic violence against his girlfriend at the time, and in 2017, Sizemore pled no contest to two charges of domestic violence after being arrested a few months earlier on suspicion of assaulting his partner.

In 2005, Sizemore was sentenced to several months in jail after being caught attempting to fake a urine test. In 2007, he was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, and in 2019, he was arrested for possession of “various illegal narcotics.” Sizemore has been public about his struggles with substance abuse, appearing on “Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew” and “Dr. Phil” to discuss his legal troubles.

Weekend Box Office Results: Ant-Man Holds at No. 1 but Suffers Giant Drop - Rotten Tomatoes

Audiences showed up in droves for a pair of new movies this weekend. Some were experiencing a revolution for their Lord and Savior. Others went to worship a bear high on cocaine. Even more continued to hand over money to Marvel, but far less than the studio certainly hoped this weekend. The three of them combined did not result in one of the top three weekends of the year, but it is another where at least three films grossed over $10 million, and we could see a lot more of that throughout the month of March.

King of the Crop: Ant-Man Holds at No. 1 but Suffers Giant Drop

Despite a coked-up bear and converted hippies, the top film at the box office this weekend was once again Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Do you hear that record scratch, though? That’s because it just had the largest second-weekend drop for any film in the MCU. The Universe has had its share of 67% drops recently with Black Widow (67.8%), Thor: Love and Thunder (67.7%), Spider-Man: No Way Home (67.5%), and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (67%). In fact, Marvel’s six biggest drops have all come since 2021 (including Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Eternals). Now you can make it seven with Quantumania leading the way with a fall from $105 million down to $32.2 million (69.7%).

That $32.2 million is just a smidge over what Ant-Man and the Wasp did in its second weekend ($29 million). Only six films in the MCU had a second frame lower than $30 million and Quantumania’s take brings its 10-day total to $167.3 million, below the first Guardians of the Galaxy ($176.5 million) but still ahead of Captain America: The Winter Soldier ($158.8 million). Both of those films made over $41 million in their second weekend and over $25 million in their third. Quantumania will certainly fall back even further. At present, it hopes to at least maintain a similar pace to its own predecessor, which it is currently $34 million ahead of, and finish its run somewhere between $240-250 million. That means it would need to clear around $350 million for it to stay out of the red in Marvel’s ledger. Its international haul currently stands at $196.3 million.

Fresh Surprise: Jesus Revolution Rises Up

Lionsgate was hoping to have its first big cash cow since Knives Out when John Wick 4 opens in a month, but they got a nice little boost this week from Jesus Revolution. Based on the true story of California hippies-turned-Jesus freaks (as they were called at the time), the $15 million-budgeted film turned in $15.5 million over the weekend. That is on par with 2016’s Miracles from Heaven, which had a $14.8 million weekend after pulling in $3.5 million on Weds and Thurs. This is certainly the best faith-based opening since 2018’s I Can Only Imagine, which grabbed $23 million by its Sunday collection plate. We will see if the Revolution can catch on again, though the film should find itself with a bare minimum floor of $36 million based on the history of these films that do grab an audience. It will need around $45 million for the film to not need any additional donations.

The Top 10 and Beyond: Cocaine Bear Scores Solid Opening, Puss in Boots and Avatar Keep Making Money

Did you hear about the bear that did cocaine? Apparently a lot of people did, as Cocaine Bear pulled in just over an estimated $23 million in its opening weekend. The average finish for a February release opening between $20-23 million is roughly $67.6 million with only one film (2006’s When a Stranger Calls remake) finishing below $50 million. Cocaine Bear received the same B- Cinemascore as When a Stranger Calls, which had just a 2.21 multiple over its opening weekend. Other films in that group that also earned a B- include Vantage Point, Fool’s Gold, Payback, and The Woman In Black, and three of those finished over $70 million. Cocaine Bear has a higher score with critics than any of them (currently Fresh at 70%) and a lowball gross of $50 million would already be halfway to ensuring the film is in profit. If the international crowd is as enticed by the high concept as we apparently are here, this should be another winner for Universal.

The good news continues for Universal as Puss In Boots: The Last Wish spent its 10th straight week in the top five. Another $4.1 million over the weekend brings its total to over $173 million. With over $442 million worldwide, it is about to surpass the profit margin of the 2011 original. Struggling a bit to meet its threshold is M. Night Shyamalan’s Knock at the Cabin, which has maintained a minimum consistency after its initial big drop and is just under $34 million total. If it can still find $10 million in tickets across the globe it will maintain the filmmaker’s winning streak that he hopes to now continue over at Warner Bros. The only film he made over there, Lady in the Water, was the biggest money loser of his career.

Warner Bros.’ Magic Mike’s Last Dance dropped 50% to $2.7 million over the weekend, bringing its total to around $23 million. This is going to be the fifth straight theatrical loser for the studio (after House Party, Black Adam, Don’t Worry Darling, and DC League of Super Pets), which has not had a full success story since last summer’s Elvis. Tom Brady reportedly had his last dance in January, but 80 For Brady keeps limping along like his final season. After dropping 55% to $1.7 million this weekend its total is just over $36 million. With no international cash to speak of yet, the GOAT worship film is still in need of $50 million to get over the profit goal line.

Finally, of course, Avatar: The Way of Water continues to make money. It is now in its 11th week in the top five, taking in $4.8 million to bring its total to over $665 million. That is just a smidge over what Black Panther did in its 11th week ($4.73 million) and it remains $23 million off that film’s pace, making it unlikely it will hit $700 million, especially as sequel after sequel will knock it back throughout March. Still, it should find itself passing Avengers: Infinity War’s $678.8 million and becoming the seventh highest-grossing domestic release of all time and third highest worldwide.

On the Vine: Creed III Kicks Off a Month Full of Anticipated Sequels

Sequel month begins next week as we enter March and wait for Creed III to lead the box office. Michael B. Jordan steps into the director’s chair for the third entry in the Rocky spin-off that grossed $109 million and $115 million in parts one and two. The film is currently enjoying a 90% approval from critics and is hoping to best the $35 million opening of the second film. Guy Ritchie’s Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre is also finally opening in theaters. Filmed in 2021 and originally scheduled for an early 2022 release, the STX sendoff landed at Lionsgate, who will put the film in theaters before it heads for a quick streaming turnaround on Amazon Prime Video on April 7.

With one of the best speeches of award season thus far, Hollywood veteran James Hong got to take the stage in a room full of his peers and finally talk his shit.

Everything Everywhere All At Once had a stellar evening at the 2023 SAG Awards, with Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, and Jamie Lee Curtis all taking home statues for their respective roles in the sci-fi comedy, before earning SAG’s top prize for Cast in a Motion Picture.

Prior to handing the mic over to Hong, Yeoh introduced him. “There’s been one who has been supporting ensembles for longer than any of us have been alive,” she reflected. “He’s been acting since there were only 49 states, and he just turned 94. And it’s been 69 years in the making to get him to this stage.”

Everything Everywhere All at Once: Award Acceptance Speech | 29th Annual SAG Awards

Hong kicked off his speech in Cantonese, because “we might be broadcast in Hong Kong,” before switching to English. With his fellow predominantly Asian cast members next to him on stage, Hong reflected on the time when Hollywood thought Asian actors could not play Asian characters and, flexing on everyone in the audience, recalled that his first film credit was in a Clark Gable movie. Oh, and he received his first SAG card a whopping 70 years ago, during a time when being Asian in Hollywood looked entirely different.

“Back in those days, I have to tell you this, the leading roles were played by these guys with their eyes taped up,” Hong says during his speech. “And the producer said that Asians were not good enough, and they are not box office. But, look at us now, huh?”

Since his debut in 1955's Soldier Of Fortune, Hong has amassed more acting credits than nearly anyone else in Hollywood history, with over 600 titles to his name. He became known for his work on Seinfeld, Chinatown, Blade Runner, Mulan, Big Trouble In Little China, Kung Fu Panda, and so much more, with recent roles in Turning Red and Wendell & Wild. However, his role as Gong Gong in EEAAO is the first to bring him to a major award stage in the states. He certainly seized his long-awaited moment, giving an emotionally deft speech fit with biting humor and plenty of crowd work.

He took moments to take a jab at Daniels’ wild script for EEAAO, and that Daniel Scheinert is in fact, white, before ending his speech by pulling a line from Yeoh’s own award season script: “Shut up. I can beat you up.”

At 94 years old, Hong’s been on more film and television sets than nearly anyone, and it’s a shame we’ll likely only ever hear about a sliver of his illustrious experience. However, as Hong says in his speech, we’ll hopefully see him again on the SAG stage at 100, and EEAAO will lead to even more opportunities to share his life story.

Mark Wahlberg — Who Once Assaulted Two Vietnamese Men — Was the Wrong Choice to Present ‘Everything Everywhere’ Cast a SAG Award - Rolling Stone

Everything Everywhere All at Once continued its awards season tear at the SAG Awards Sunday night, Feb. 26. Three of the film’s stars — Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Ke Huy Quan — won individual acting prizes, while the entire ensemble took home Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

It was this last award, however, that has stirred up some controversy — not because of the winner, but the presenter: Mark Wahlberg. As the predominately Asian cast of EEAO took the stage, Wahlberg’s presence raised eyebrows considering his history of violence against Asian people as a teenager.

“It must have been quite a shock for Mark Wahlberg to witness a group of Asians beating white people,” journalist Jeff Yang tweeted, Another reporter, Bonnie Stiernberg, added, “I gotta say, having Mark Wahlberg, who literally went to jail as a teen for committing a hate crime against a Vietnamese man, present an award to the cast of Everything Everywhere All At Once was certainly a choice.”

In 1988, Wahlberg was convicted of assaulting two Vietnamese American men while trying to steal a few cases of beer from them outside a convenience store (Wahlberg, who was 16 at the time, claimed he was high on PCP). First, Wahlberg knocked one man, Thanh Lam, unconscious with a wooden stick, then he punched another man, Hoa (“Johnny”) Trinh. Investigators noted at the time that Wahlberg used several racist epithets and slurs during the attack.

Wahlberg was eventually charged with attempted murder but pleaded guilty to felony assault, earning a two-year prison sentence but only serving 45 days. (Prior to this incident, Wahlberg was also part of a civil action involving the harassment of a group of Black children.) Wahlberg applied for a pardon in 2014 but decided to drop the bid two years later after it was met with protests from activist groups.

Trending

Wahlberg has apologized for the assaults in various interviews over the years, and while trying to obtain the pardon. In a 2016 Q&A at the Toronto Film Festival, he said that he was able to finally meet with Trinh and his family and “apologize for those horrific acts.”

Reps for the SAG Awards did not immediately return Rolling Stone’s request for comment as to how Wahlberg came to present the Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. (Obviously, it wasn’t publicly known that the Everything Everywhere cast was going to win the prize, though they were certainly favorites going into the night). Representatives for several cast members — including Yeoh, Quan, and Stephanie Hsu — also did not immediately return requests for comment.

Family reveals cause of death for Jansen Panettiere, brother of Hayden Panettiere - WSB Atlanta

One week after Jansen Panettiere’s death, his family revealed that the voice actor passed away from natural causes.

>> Read more trending news

In a statement to ABC News, Panettiere’s family — including his sister, actress Hayden Panettiere — said that Jansen died from “a cardiomegaly (enlarged heart), coupled with aortic valve complications.”

“Jansen’s heart could be seen in his eyes, and his charm in his brilliant, engaging smile; his soul in his masterful and revealing paintings, and the joy of life in his dry wit. … His charisma, warmth, compassion for others, and his creative spirit will live forever in our hearts and in the hearts of all whom he encountered,” the family said.

According to the Mayo Clinic, an enlarged heart isn’t a disease itself, but rather points to another condition. The condition can be caused by heart damage or certain types of heart disease.

“We sincerely appreciate the outpouring of love and support towards our family as we navigate this unthinkable loss, and ask that we be gifted our privacy during this time of mourning,” the family’s statement read. “We love you so much and you will be in our hearts forever.”

Jansen worked as an actor and had multiple credits to his name on “Even Stevens,” “The Walking Dead” and “How High 2.”

Wes Bentley on ‘Yellowstone’ Off-Camera Drama: “They’re Still Working on It” - Hollywood Reporter

Wes Bentley is weighing in on reports of behind-the-scenes drama surrounding his Paramount Network series, Yellowstone.

Bentley, who stars as Jamie Dutton on show creator Taylor Sheridan’s ranch-focused hit, spoke to Entertainment Weekly in an interview published online Saturday. During the conversation, he explained that he wasn’t directly involved in any of the discussions — which reportedly involve his co-star Kevin Costner’s schedule — but that he was hopeful everything will get ironed out.

“The news that’s come out recently about the show is, you know, it’s above my pay grade,” Bentley said. “Different people making decisions. I know that they’re still working on it, is what I’m being told — working on working things out with everyone to make sure we shoot.”

Related Stories

He continued, “And I’m confident we will. We always have before. I think it’s probably a bit of drama over nothing.”

Earlier this month, Costner was at the center of reports from anonymous sources claiming the actor, who portrays patriarch John Dutton, refused to work more than a single week on the second half of Yellowstone’s fifth season that’s set to launch this summer. According to insiders, he has been focused on his currently shooting Western film Horizon.

Sources previously told The Hollywood Reporter that it appears increasingly unlikely for the show to be ready to begin shooting the new episodes in March as planned. The possibility exists that TV’s most-watched drama could end sooner than planned, although sources maintained that a Costner exit would not spur the show to end immediately.

For his part, Costner shared a video Feb. 13 of himself unboxing his Golden Globe after he was unable to attend last month’s ceremony due to weather. The actor made no mention of Yellowstone or Sheridan in the recording.
